**Position Title:**General Duties

Starting minimum:$18.25/hour

**Job Type:**Full Time Permanent

Position Summary: Reporting to the production manager, or designate, the Packer will be responsible for securely and safely packaging products for storage and shipping.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verifying the quality of the product before packaging.
• Verifying the product and properly labelling and packaging the item for retail, or wholesale.
• Packaging fresh and frozen seafood.
• Processing seafood as required.
• Ensuring proper production and expiry dates are applied to the packaging.
• Verifying products are up to count and weight specifications.
• Ensure packaging is airtight with no defects.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of areas.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Willingness to work with raw meat products.
• Willingness to work in a cold environment.
• Ability to perform physical tasks requiring lifting, carrying, and moving objects weighing 30+ lbs. safely and effectively.
• Physical fitness and stamina to sustain prolonged periods of activity, repetitive movements, and manual labor.
• Previous work experience is an asset but not required.
• Training will be provided.
• Commitment to safety standards and practices.
