Position #: 200352 Expected Start Date: To Be Determined Union: HSAS Facility: Meadow Lake Hospital City/Town: Meadow Lake Department: Ambulance - Land Type: Part-time regular FTE: 0.67 Shift Information: Standby Hours of Work: 56 shifts of 8 hours per 16 weeks Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: No Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic Coordinator $39.654 to $48.451 Travel Required: No Job Description: Emergency Medical Technician Paramedics are responsible for providing emergent and non-emergent Advanced Life Support (ALS) services to the sick and injured, and for continuing to provide ALS medical services until responsibility for patient care can be assumed by hospital authorities. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement" Human Resources Exemption: No Licenses- Valid Class 4 driver's licenseOther Education and Training- Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)- Pre-Hospital Care Program - Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) LevelCompetencies- Advanced - Communication skills- Advanced - Interpersonal skillsKnowledge and Abilities- Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team- Ability to work independentlyOther Information- Travel required- Registered/eligible with Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at ACP/EMT-P- For more information on the city of Meadow Lake please visit https://www.meadowlake.ca/- May be eligible for Recruitment and/or Retention Incentives- Scheduled hours of work may be reduced during the rotation stipulated when a statutory holiday is recognized during that period.
