About the role
Position: Live Entertainment Intern
Department: Live Entertainment
Reports To: Director, Live Entertainment
Position Summary:
The Live Entertainment Intern will work in partnership with cross functional departments and external partners on the overall execution of revenue-generating programming for live events at Rogers Arena. They will also provide administrative support to the Live Entertainment department and will perform various event-related duties both prior to and during events.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
(Other duties may be assigned as required)
- Assist media and venue photographers on event day
- Liaise with promoter partners on marketing assets and rollout
- Assist with administration of the arena calendar
- Maintain vendor relationships and coordinate the execution of building-tour experiences
- Assist the Administrator, Live Events Ticketing & Booking with administering ticketing for events and administering complimentary ticket requests
- Maintain files and records and provide ongoing administrative support for the department
Required Experience and Qualifications:
- A post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field
- Experience working in live events with a passion for the music industry
- A creative and detail-oriented mindset with a strong understanding of social media
- Excellent people skills, with an ability to work closely and cooperatively with internal and external clients at all levels
- Highly organized and adaptable with outstanding administrative and time management skills
- Eager to learn and take on new tasks and responsibilities
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, strong proficiency with Excel is an asset
- Experience compiling reports and generating presentations
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as required by event and promotions schedule
