Mercedes-Benz Moncton is seeking an Parts & Service Advisor to join our team!
As a Parts & Service Advisor with Mercedes-Benz Moncton, you will be the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance or repairs, you will greet customers, assess vehicle issues, provide cost estimates, and coordinate service appointments. This role also involves ensuring smooth operation of the parts department by interacting with customers, suppliers, and technicians, sourcing from the online parts catalogue, and offering information and service. Strong communication skills, automotive knowledge, and a passion for customer satisfaction are key to excelling in this opportunity within the automotive service industry.
Hourly Wage Range: $18.55 – $23.00
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Determine automotive problems and services by listening to customers' descriptions of symptoms and clarifying descriptions of problems.
- Verify warranty and service contract coverage by examining records and papers; explaining provisions and exclusions.
- Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor.
- Prepare repair orders (RO) by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required.
- Maintain customer rapport by explaining estimates and expected return of vehicle; obtaining customer's approval of estimates and answering questions and concerns.
- Maintain automotive records by recording problems and corrective actions planned.
- Ordering parts for clients needing vehicle repairs in an efficient and timely manner.
- Receiving parts orders with accuracy and maintaining parts inventory count.
- Communicating with the technicians and service department to ensure the job gets done.
- Work with our suppliers to create mutually beneficial business relationships.
- Other duties as required.
Requirements:
- Previous automotive experience would be considered an asset but not required
- Excellent customer service skills and a professional telephone manner
- Fluency with Microsoft Office software
- A positive attitude and excellent work ethic
- An eagerness to learn and strong attention to detail
