About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Android Engineer to join our dynamic software development team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the technical design, architecture, and development of advanced Android applications that enhance our customer experience. You will motivate, manage, and inspire a team of software engineers, fostering an environment of innovation and excellence. Your expertise will be pivotal in delivering cutting-edge features such as credit score monitoring, personal information management, and pre-approval credit checks, helping our customers take control of their financial health.

This position does not involve direct reports but requires a strong hands-on approach to development, technical guidance, and architectural decision-making. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and secure mobile solutions that align with our strategic goals. Our technology stack emphasizes cloud-native architectures, open source tools, RESTful APIs, microservices, and containerization, enabling rapid deployment and continuous improvement of our products.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience developing native Android applications using Java and Kotlin.
• Extensive experience in application and data design, architecture, and development across multiple platforms.
• Proficiency with modern Android development tools and frameworks such as RxJava, Coroutines, Dagger, Espresso, JUnit, and Jenkins.
• Proven ability to mentor junior, intermediate, and senior mobile developers, providing technical guidance and fostering growth.
• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead the technical design, architecture, and development of cross-functional, multi-platform application systems.
• Participate actively in the full software development lifecycle, from planning and design to deployment and maintenance.
• Enhance software engineering practices by working within agile teams to develop, test, and implement innovative technical solutions.
• Stay informed about emerging technologies and assess their impact on current and future projects.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior and mid-level developers to promote best practices and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to deliver seamless and impactful customer experiences.
• Ensure the security, scalability, and performance of mobile applications through diligent architecture and code review.
