POSITION
**Title:**Director, Information and Technology Systems
**Reporting to:**Director General
**Classification:**Management
**Status:**Regular, full-time
**Working hours:**35 hours per week
Annual Salary:$103,121.00 - $137,492.00
**Start Date:**As soon as possible
NATURE AND SCOPE
Reporting to the Director General, the incumbent provides College-wide leadership in relation to Information Technology Services (ITS) needs and manages the Department in support of the College’s academic mission and institutional objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
-
Provides leadership for ITS related responsibilities and gathers current and projected needs and requirements to present options/recommendations, in a collaborative manner with other college stakeholders.

Ensures the short, medium, and long-term planning of the college’s technological infrastructures to support current and future requirements in a post-secondary educational context while implementing industry’s best practices.

Manages human, financial and material resources of the department, which encompasses the hiring, coordination, supervision, evaluation, and development of all personnel under their supervision, budget planning, inventory management, etc.…

Maintains the College’s main systems and ensures their proper functioning and upgrades (Finance, Human Resources, Payroll, Student information, Computer networks, telephony, cameras, emergency communication, space bookings, etc.…).

Reviews, improves, and regularly tests the disaster recovery and contingency plans and procedures.

Addresses cybersecurity, data management and maintenance of user accounts.

Responsible for negotiation of hardware and software purchases and service contracts, acts as principal vendor liaison with third party agreements for implementation, maintenance, and contract renewals.

Documents policies, processes and procedures for information systems related to operations, hardware, networks, etc… and ensures adherence through various measures and controls.

Represents the College on external committees, as needed.
PROFESSIONAL ATTRIBUTES

Proficiency in project management software and similar tools as well as in Microsoft Office suite

QUALIFICATIONS
-
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or related field
-
Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in Information Technologies, of which at least two (2) have been in a management position, ideally within a post-secondary educational milieu or non-profit organizations
-
Experience with Windows Servers (2019/2022) and cloud-based solutions (Microsoft Azure)
-
Hands on experience with firewalls, routers, switches (Barracuda, Fortinet)
-
Proven experience in creating and implementing disaster recovery planning
-
Working knowledge of Exchange Server (to be decommissioned)
-
Working knowledge of variety of security technologies in areas of: End Point Protection, Malware Protection (Network), Patch Management, URL filtering, Identity and Access management (IAM), network segmentation
-
Excellent knowledge of technology environments, including telecommunications, network infrastructure, MS 365, VMWare virtual operating environment, data communications, storage array technologies Experience with network technologies including network access control (NAC) and IP management

Working Conditions
The employment conditions are established as per the College Management Handbook:

30 days to 35 days of annual vacation

10 statutory holidays
