About the role

Purpose

The Manager, Employee Experience plays a critical role in shaping and executing the employee experience strategy for Global Transaction Banking (GTB). This role is responsible for executing high-impact initiatives that foster engagement, enable performance, and strengthen GTB’s culture across a global footprint. The Manager ensures alignment with enterprise priorities while driving programs that are scalable, inclusive, and grounded in data and employee insights.

What you’ll do:

  • *       1. Champions a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
    
    2. Supports the design and evolution of GTB’s global employee experience strategy by: * Translating employee insights into scalable, high-impact programs that enhance engagement, performance, and culture. * Identifying opportunities to improve the employee journey and reduce friction across the lifecycle. * Championing an inclusive, end-to-end view of the employee experience through cross-functional and cross-regional collaboration. * Monitoring and prioritizing EX initiatives in partnership with Leaders and HRBPs to ensure alignment with strategic goals. 3. Delivers flagship programs and enables HR initiatives that support employee development, recognition, and engagement by: * Implementing GTB’s signature employee programs, which vary in complexity and scale, with a focus on global inclusion and impact * Overseeing the GTB Onboarding Program, including orientation, buddy program, and co-op experience, to ensure a consistent and engaging start for new employees. * Partnering with HR, Learning & Development, and Talent Acquisition to localize and activate enterprise programs in a way that reflects GTB’s unique needs. * Creating opportunities for employees to grow, connect, and be recognized through thoughtfully designed experiences. 4. Builds and maintains strong relationships with partners across all three business segments (Corporate, Commercial, and Business Banking), and collaborates closely with the support functions that enable these partnerships to ensure alignment, transparency, and shared success. 5. Understands how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions, ensuring all initiatives are delivered with appropriate risk awareness and compliance. 6. Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk. 7. Champions a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive, values-driven workplace by promoting open communication, collaboration, and continuous improvement. 8. Oversees onboarding and early talent programs, including the Co-op Program and new hire experience.

What You'll Bring :

  • *       1. 3-5 years of relevant experience in employee experience, organizational development, or strategic program management, preferably within financial services or a large, matrixed organization.
    
    2. Spanish language skills preferred 3. Proven success in leading cross-functional initiatives and delivering enterprise-aligned employee programs. 4. Strong relationship management skills with a track record of collaborating across business lines. 5. Demonstrated strategic planning, problem-solving, and analytical capabilities. 6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex ideas into clear, compelling messages. 7. Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. 8. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel); experience with SharePoint and collaboration tools is an asset. 9. Ability to operate in a fast-paced, matrixed environment, balancing multiple priorities and stakeholder expectations. 10. This role requires the ability to manage confidential and sensitive projects with professionalism and discretion.

Work Arrangement:

This position requires the incumbent to work well under pressure, responding quickly to changing priorities and very short deadlines and managing projects of a confidential or sensitive nature.
