About the Job

Are you a skilled Millwright with a passion for keeping equipment running smoothly and a knack for leading teams? We're looking for a Millwrighting Maintenance Supervisor to join our Compost & Packaging Facility located in Arthur, ON.

In this vital role you’ll be reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager. The Millwrighting Maintenance Supervisor oversees all maintenance on production lines and equipment within the packaging plant, ensuring minimum downtime and maximizing efficiencies for all machinery and equipment. This includes both preventive and curative maintenance. You will supervise a team of licensed millwrights and apprentices, ensuring the facility operates in compliance with health and safety and environmental policies and regulations. This is a permanent, full-time position. The hours of operation are 8 am-5 pm, Monday-Friday.

What you will be doing:

  • Oversees and schedules maintenance on all packaging equipment to reduce downtime and increase cost efficiencies.
  • Coordinates preventative maintenance (PMs) and repairs, ensuring that all health and safety and environmental policies, regulations and legislation are adhered to.
  • Oversees workloads and provides supervision to millwrighting team at the site, ensuring that work is done accurately, efficiently and complies with policies, procedures and regulations as well as best working practices.
  • Troubleshooting in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications and requirements.
  • Provides guidance and motivation for direct reports to maintain and enhance competency levels and identify future training requirements.
  • Track invoices, parts inventory, and place orders as needed—making sure the shop stays stocked and ready.
  • Source new materials and suppliers to boost efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Keep a close eye on equipment health and suggest upgrades or adjustments for long-term improvements.

Here’s What You Need:

  • Proven ability to plan and oversee a team’s daily workload with a strong focus on safety and efficiency.
  • Excellent communication, professionalism, and diplomacy when working with colleagues, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Licensed Millwright (433A) with completed apprenticeship.
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience in a maintenance or industrial setting.
  • Detail-oriented with solid time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to act with initiative and sound judgment.
  • Must hold a valid G-Class Driver’s License.
