Job Title: HR Manager Job Type: Full Time, Permanent, In-office Location: Stratford, ON Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000 per year Travel: Regular travel to additional office locations including Linwood, Seaforth, Goderich, Blyth and Brussels is required.

About the Role The HR Manager is responsible for leading HR and payroll functions while contributing to how the organization continually improves its operations. The ideal candidate is comfortable balancing hands-on HR responsibilities with a practical approach to simplifying processes, solving problems, and helping the organization work more effectively.
Core Responsibilities Human Resources Lead day-to-day HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, attendance management, performance management, and employee development Develop and maintain employment contracts, policies, procedures, and HR documentation Support managers and employees on HR-related matters Ensure compliance with employment legislation and HR best practices Support employee engagement, communication, and workplace culture initiatives Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and systems Payroll & Benefits Administration Manage payroll for salaried and commissioned employees Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing Handle payroll inquiries, reporting, and issue resolution Support benefits administration and other employee programs Organizational Effectiveness & Continuous Improvement Partner with leadership on initiatives that improve employee experience, workflows, and overall operational effectiveness Contribute to the design and implementation of improvements to processes and ways of working across departments
Qualifications Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field CHRP/CHRL designation (or working toward designation) is considered an asset Several years in an HR generalist, HR manager or people operations role Experience managing payroll, including salaried and commissioned structures Experience developing HR documentation such as contracts, policies and procedures Strong understanding of Ontario employment legislation Experience in employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, and performance management Strong communication and relationship-building skills Sound judgement and ability to manage confidential information Strong problem-solving and organizational skills Demonstrated ability to improve processes and support operational efficiency Proficiency with HRIS, payroll systems, and Microsoft Office
