About Us

The Ministry of Finance oversees taxation, revenue and government spending. The Ministry supports the Treasury Board and Minister of Finance by providing financial and administrative services and leadership to government ministries, agencies, and the public.

The Revenue Division conducts a broad range of tax administration and compliance activities for Saskatchewan’s provincial consumption taxes and programs.

The Revenue Client and Financial Services (RCFS) area is responsible for centralized tax client return and payment processing, financial processing, and account maintenance for all tax and refund programs administered by the Division. These teams are actively engaged in testing and hands-on design improvements for many of the systems that support our clients. This unit also provides client services through call center and email support for general tax and program inquiries, and offers assistance with the client portal (SETS), ensuring a seamless and supportive experience for all clients.

The Opportunity

Revenue Client and Financial Services is seeking an experienced leader with a passion for client service, operational excellence, and financial management. As the Manager of Client and Financial Services, you will play a key role in overseeing critical functions within the Revenue Division, leading multiple teams that handle financial transactions, tax program administration, and client service delivery. As a member of our Branch leadership team, you will help shape strategic direction, cultivate a positive work environment, and ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies. This role offers the opportunity to uphold tax client service commitments, resolve complex financial matters, and enhance service delivery, all while leveraging your expertise in financial administration to ensure fair and efficient tax services in a collaborative setting.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be an experienced professional who has:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills;
  • Commitment to client service excellence;
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities;
  • Ability to drive process improvements and operational efficiency;
  • Effective communication and collaboration across teams; and
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience in financial management, tax administration, and client service operations, along with a solid understanding of regulatory compliance, risk assessment, and team leadership. A background in public sector financial operations or taxation is highly beneficial.

Typically, the knowledge and experience required to achieve the above is acquired through:

  • A combination of formal education in business administration, such as a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, combined with work experience in a similar role; and
  • Previous experience in a supervisory/managerial role, preferably in a government or public sector setting;
  • Knowledge of financial administration and tax regulations would be considered an asset;
  • Accounting experience would be considered an asset;
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; and
  • Experience using a variety of computer software applications such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
