What you will do:
- Prepare working paper files, tax provisions, corporate income tax returns, tax elections and information returns for corporate clients, including Global MNE’s
- Provide client support for CRA audits and inquiries, follow-up on Notice of Assessments and communicate with the CRA on various tax matters
- Perform tax research and analysis as part of the tax provision and tax compliance process on a wide variety of tax issues
- Collaborate with Managers, Senior Managers and Partners on client engagements and assist with tax planning strategies
- Maintain client files to ensure accurate and timely completion of returns and schedules
- Interact with clients and other KPMG team members to support engagement delivery
- Participate in product design discussions on tax processes and user testing of various tax technologies
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance tax delivery through technology
What you bring to this role:
- 1–2 years of experience in a public accounting firm
- Successful completion of the CFE and CPA designation obtained or in progress
- Enrollment in or willingness to enroll in the In-Depth Tax Course
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Effective collaboration and team engagement abilities
- Ability to manage time effectively in a dynamic environment
- Capacity to handle multiple priorities with attention to detail
- Proactive approach to developing new skills through research and learning
