Role Description: The Heavy Equipment Mechanic 310T role is a full-time, on-site position based in Woodbridge, ON. In this role, the mechanic will perform routine and preventive maintenance on heavy equipment and vehicles used in paving, construction, and winter maintenance operations.

Day-to-day tasks Diagnosing mechanical issues Troubleshooting hydraulic and electrical systems, and completing repairs to ensure equipment reliability and safety. The mechanic will inspect equipment, maintain service records, and coordinate with operations staff to minimize downtime. This role also involves following safety procedures, using appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment, and supporting fleet readiness during peak construction and winter seasons. Work closely with the shop team to minimize equipment downtime. Complete work orders and maintain accurate repair records.

Qualifications: Candidates should possess strong skills in Heavy Equipment handling and familiarity with construction, paving, and winter maintenance machinery. Candidates should possess solid Equipment Maintenance and Vehicle Maintenance skills, including preventive servicing and inspections. Candidates should possess proven Equipment Repair and Troubleshooting skills for mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical issues. Valid 310T Truck and Coach Technician certification (or equivalent) is required or strongly preferred. Experience in construction, roadwork, or municipal fleet environments is an asset. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and service documentation. Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to relevant regulations and company policies. Capacity to work on-site, including occasional overtime or seasonal hours as operational needs require. Experience with Peterbilt trucks is considered a strong asset. Valid G driver’s license (DZ or AZ is an asset).
