The IBM Client Innovation Centre Quebec (CIC), at LGS, employs professionals who collaborate on projects within technology practices, offering local and remote services. We are looking for an experienced MQ administrator with expertise in IBM MQ, IBM Integration Bus (IIB), and App Connect Enterprise (ACE). The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our messaging infrastructure, ensuring high availability, optimal performance, and security, while collaborating with development teams to ensure seamless application integration.

Here is how you will be involved:

  • Install, configure, and maintain IBM MQ servers, queues, and channels.
  • Administer App Connect Enterprise (ACE 11/12), IBM Integration Bus (IIB v9 & v10), and WebSphere Message Broker (WMB).
  • Develop and support MQ, IIB, and ACE solutions, including message routing, transformation, and filtering.
  • Monitor batches and provide production support.
  • Identify and resolve issues related to MQ, IIB, and ACE systems, including connectivity and performance optimization problems.
  • Analyze and optimize the performance of MQ, IIB, and ACE systems, including parameter tuning, log configuration, and system resource management.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, troubleshooting steps, and performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with developers, application owners, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of systems and applications.

Your experience:

  • Advanced expertise in IBM MQ, ACE (11/12), IIB (v9 & v10), and WebSphere Message Broker (WMB).
  • Practical experience in MQ and IIB/ACE administration.
  • Familiarity with AWS/ROSA/OpenShift environments.
  • Experience with shell scripting for automation.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in MQ, IIB, and ACE administration and development.
  • Significant experience in production support is a considerable advantage.
