Job Description Location: 1899 Algonquin Ave, North Bay
Essential Details And Responsibilities
- Perform grooming services, including clipping, hand scissoring, and general cleansing, parasite control baths, pedicures, and ear cleansing as requested for each pet. Duties also include answering phone calls, booking appointments, conducting reminder calls and participating in store events to help drive business.
- Must be able to share workspace but also be efficient working alone.
- Utilize professional grooming techniques for a variety of dog breeds and cats. Incorporate grooming methods based on type of hair, coat, breed and owner instructions; bathe and dry animals; perform pedicures and clean ears.
- Maintain sanitary salon conditions, assist in all general maintenance of grooming room; clean cages, tubs, grooming tables; vacuum floor; mop floor daily; empty trash; clean clipper blades, scissors and clean/disinfect brushes after use. Must complete any cleaning and maintenance required to ensure we have a clean and sanitary working area for our clients and associates.
- Interact professionally and effectively through verbal and written communication with all professional contacts. Provide superior customer service using PASSION to adapt and respond to different types of situations.
- Other responsibilities include, and are not limited to, supporting the Self-Wash and associate or store manager needs in the core of the store.
Experience, Education, Certifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in bathing/grooming animals in a professional environment
- Must be a registered groomer with a diploma
- Must have an open availability
- Remuneration to be discussed
