**Role:**Senior Analytics Data Engineer
**Status:**Full-Time, Regular
**Reports to:**Senior Manager, Data Strategy & Analytics
**Location:**Markham
Compensation:$84,264 - $130,609
Please note that the compensation range listed includes base salary and potential incentive pay. Incentives such as bonuses are not guaranteed and depend on individual performance and company results. Actual compensation within the range will be determined based on skills, experience, and qualifications.
Summary: Reporting to Senior Manager, Data Strategy & Analytics, you will play a key role in a highly visible team within the organization to advance our business as we execute our data strategy. This is a great opportunity for an individual with a passion for using data to drive insights, presenting key learnings and delivering transformational outcomes to our business. We are looking for an exceptional Senior Analytics Data Engineer, who could help us to take our data engineering and analytics reporting process to the next level.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and optimize scalable and secure Data Pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Server, Fabric Pipelines, Lakehouse, and Warehouse architectures.
- Implement and manage CI/CD/CT pipelines for data workflows, utilizing Azure DevOps, Git integration and Deployment Pipelines.
- Develop and optimize Database Objects (tables, stored procedures, views, and ETL processes to support data ingestion, transformation, and delivery.
- Ensure high availability, performance, and cost-efficiency of data systems through capacity management, monitoring, and optimization.
- In partnership with IT Cloud Ops team architect, design and manage Azure resources including Function Apps, Azure Key Vault, Azure Storage, Integration Runtime, and Entra ID.
- Support the migration of legacy processes to modern cloud-based solutions (e.g., VM Task Scheduler, Power Automate Flows).
- Analytics management of AI Services & Advanced Analytics. (such as Azure AI Foundry, AI Search, Vector DB, etc.)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to Integrate MLOps/AIOps frameworks, feature stores, model deployment with IT Cloud Ops, and experimentation.
- Analytics architect and support Power BI semantic modeling, dashboard development, and centralized/self-serve reporting with industrial best practices in Microsoft Fabric Platform.
- Champion analytics data engineering best practices, including code reviews, testing, and documentation.
- Ensure data security, quality, and compliance across all environments.
- Support and mentor cross-functional teams of data engineers, developers, and business developers.
- Ensure seamless integration with version control systems, particularly Git, to manage code changes and collaboration.
- Insightful understanding of Data Science and MLOps is a strong asset.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years hands on experience with Azure, SQL Server, ADF Data Pipeline, ETL, and Power BI
- 5+ years of experience in developing integration solutions using Microsoft Azure Application Integration environment. Including utilization in Logic Apps, Function Apps, Functions, Service Bus, and API Management
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, DAX, and other relevant programming languages.
- Experience in data modelling and visualization; working with different data schemas and BI implementation methodologies.
- Business domain knowledge in one or more of the following: Sales, Call Centre Operations, Billing and Collections, Accounting and Finance is a plus.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric is a plus.
- Knowledge of deployment pipelines and CI/CD practices using Azure DevOps.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
