Air Inuit - Company Profile Air Inuit has been providing essential scheduled, charter, cargo, and emergency air transportation services in Nunavik and beyond, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, for over 45 years. Collectively owned by the Inuit of Nunavik, through the Makivvik Corporation, the airline operates a fleet of more than 30 aircraft and employs more than 1000 employees in one of the most challenging flight environments.
Air Inuit's Management and its team of dedicated employees are committed to the company's mission of providing safe, timely and courteous air service to the people living and doing business in the enchanting region of Nunavik, Northern Quebec.
Position Overview The charter agent is responsible to issue quotations for clients and book the aircraft for the confirmed flight with the approval of fleet department. He will also organize ground service at all stations, order catering, provide a passenger list to the check-in agent at departure stations, and prepare check-list for crew of all the confirmed flights. He is also responsible to provide all required information to fleet department for them to install the flight in Mona Lisa with all necessary information for dispatch and maintenance crew.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Determine suitable option within our fleet to meet client specific needs and requirements available and submit client quotes;
- Responsible for the preparation, coordination, and communication of all applicable flight logistics including such items as catering, PPR requests, Fuel, FBO and ramp reservations, etc;
- Brokerage of sub chartered flights when necessary;
- Perform follow up on all completed charter flights reconciliations;
- Ensure customers’ financial validity in cooperation with the finance department;
- Ensure the high quality of charter services;
- Ensure customer satisfaction and post flight quality and satisfaction verifications;
- Maintain operational statistics for the charter department;
- Search for new customers according to objectives issue by the management of Commercial Operations;
- Remain informed and trained on Canadian aviation legislation and American aviation legislation;
- Supervise charter departures or arrivals at any moment of the day;
- Carry out duties assigned by the management of Commercial Operations.
Qualifications
- Have at least 3 years pertinent experience in airline operations;
- Charter sales experience and policy knowledge is an asset;
- Familiar with B737, Dash-8, DHC6 and BE100/350 aircraft types an asset;
- Have a good knowledge of operational and governmental policies;
- Bilingual (French/English) the ability to speak Inuktitut would be a complementary asset;
- Good operational knowledge of technologies (Excel, Outlook);
- Demonstrate a clear positive customer service attitude & spirit;
- Be focused on customer satisfaction;
- Be available and able to travel occasionally;
- Good knowledge of Nunavik
EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS
- Modified work schedule on rotation including evenings and weekends.
Compensation
- Compensation and benefits are determined in accordance with corporate policy:
- Annual salary starting at $49,295
