Our client is seeking a Senior Tax Analyst to join their team. Reporting to the Income Tax Manager, the Senior Tax Analyst role supports various aspects of the income tax lifecycle, including tax accounting, compliance, planning, and controversy. Your Success Will Be Defined By Your Ability To

• Prepare quarterly and year-end tax provisions, calculations, working papers, and supporting documentation for financial statements and related reports.
• Prepare Canadian income tax returns and related compliance filings.
• Support audits conducted by tax authorities.
• Assist with U.S. tax compliance and reporting requirements.
• Contribute to transfer pricing processes and documentation for Canadian and U.S. entities.
• Conduct tax modeling, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
• Research and analyze tax issues impacting the organization.
• Participate in corporate tax planning activities, including acquisitions, divestitures, and growth opportunities.

Your strengths include:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting
• Must possess an Accounting designation (CPA, CA, CGA, or CMA)
• Completion of CPA’s in-depth tax courses is an asset
• 3+ years of experience in corporate tax, preferably with experience in the oil and gas industry
• Minimum of 1-year post designation experience
• Experience in the preparation and analysis of Canadian tax returns and tax provisions
