WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: Assist in processing operating payables across multiple entities Match purchase orders with invoices, ensuring compliance with company policies Process, verify, and code invoices with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail Accurately manage general ledger coding, including handling complex coding structures where required Enter invoices into accounting systems in a timely and efficient manner Reconcile vendor statements and proactively resolve discrepancies Maintain up-to-date vendor records and payment histories Prepare and process cheque and electronic payments Perform intercompany invoicing and reconciliations Support month-end close processes, including reconciliations and reporting Respond to vendor and internal inquiries with professionalism and urgency Assist with audit preparation and documentation Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within accounts payable processes Support additional accounting and administrative tasks as needed Payroll Support Assist with the preparation and processing of bi-weekly payroll for employees across multiple locations and entities Generate and upload payroll journal entries to accounting software Reconcile payroll reports, benefit deductions, government remittances, and payroll-related general ledger accounts Assist with the preparation and distribution of payroll reports and year-end payroll documentation, including T4s and Records of Employment (ROEs) Assist with payroll audits and provide supporting documentation as required Collaborate with Human Resources and Finance teams to ensure accurate employee and payroll information is maintained WHAT YOU WILL BE BRING: Diploma in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Payroll Administration or a related field (or equivalent experience) Minimum of 3 years of experience in Accounts Payable, Accounting, Payroll or a combination of related Finance functions Strong understanding of accounts payable processes, payroll administration, and general accounting principles Demonstrated experience supporting payroll processing Working knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation, including statutory deductions, Employment Standards, Canada Pension Plan (CPP), Employment Insurance (EI), income tax requirements, and year-end reporting requirements Proven ability to handle complex coding and multi-entity transactions Tech savvy with proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (Excel, Word). Experience with Yardi software is an asset Familiarity with payroll systems and timekeeping software, experience with Dayforce is an asset Exceptional attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy and quality Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team Enthusiastic and eager to contribute to a fast-growing mission-driven organization making a meaningful impact in the community A commitment to upholding and modeling Indwell’s mission statement, values, and other operating standards and policies, reflecting them in all interactions and decisions We want you to thrive: Vacation: 3 weeks (15 days) paid with 8 HEAL days (sick and personal appointments) per year Extensive Benefits: Extended health (100% medication coverage- some exceptions may apply), dental and vision care.
