Position Overview:
To take all necessary action to expeditiously resolve material part or component supply issues through interaction and coordination within the IMP or Supplier supply chain network before they negatively impact aircraft maintenance or component repair production schedules.
This position will report to the Halifax International Airport location.
What You Will Do:
- In coordination with production staff, review and prioritize material supply requirements and closely monitor material shortages or requirements that may negatively impact aircraft production schedules
- Raise and approve requisitions for parts required for current aircraft maintenance and stock
- Work effectively with production, buyers, life cycle specialists and material support representatives (internal and external) to resolve material supply issues
- Prepare and maintain accurate material priority shortage status reports for aircraft production and management
- Convene and attend meetings to resolve material supply problems
- Transfer holdings to satisfy material demands
- Carry out investigations to determine causes for repetitive material shortages and initiate or recommend corrective actions
- Provide advice on interpretation of raw data for material shortages
- Coordinate special aircraft inventory projects
- Comply with and recommend improvements to inventory-related procedures and directives
- Remain current on common user application software in support of aircraft supply
What You Will Bring:
- A post-secondary certificate or diploma in business, logistics or supply chain management or equivalent training and experience.
- The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in the supply field, preferably in the aircraft industry and in a variety of settings and roles
- Strong skills in MS Office Suite of applications and typical company ERP systems (e.g. JD Edwards) Strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently
- Strong influencing skills and the ability to meet objectives working with colleagues
- Good oral and written communications skills
- Familiarity with the Aerospace supply environment and its major challenges
- Familiarity with ISO 9000 quality environments
- Demonstrate a personal commitment to IMP Occupational Health, Safety and Environment policies.
- Continually focus on individual safety and the safety of others who may be affected by your work. Fully comply with Federal Health and Safety Legislation Participate in Continuous Improvement, Lean & 6S activities
- Must be eligible to meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Canadian Government Security Clearances.
