Your Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Civil Engineering Co-op Student to become part of a dynamic transportation group specializing in the planning and design of major provincial transit infrastructure and rail, P3 design build and related local transportation projects.
Your Key Responsibilities
As the successful candidate, you will assist in providing professional services to public and private sector clients. You will be responsible for assisting in the following areas:
- Working as part of a dynamic team on various support activities.
- Working in support of a large-scale LRT Project.
- Performing both field and office work.
- Other duties as assigned, providing general assistance to project engineers and project managers in Stantec’s transportation group.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- You are a self-motivated individual possessing strong written and verbal communication skills and demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy, and you work well in a team environment.
- You are proficient in Microsoft Office Excel, and have a working knowledge of transportation engineering related software such as AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
- Drivers license and vehicle are required for this position.
Education and Experience
- Completion of high school and/or enrolled in a Civil Engineering degree/diploma program.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
