Job Title: Facility Coordinator
Location: Athlete Institute – Mono, Ontario
Reports to: Manager, Event Operations
Collaborates With: Director of Facilities | Director of Athletics | Coaches
Salary: Minimum Wage
Position Summary:
The Facility Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, safety, and presentation of the facility to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all guests, players, and staff. This role combines hands-on facility management with strong organizational and communication skills. The Facility Coordinator monitors safety systems, maintains cleanliness and order, supports event and court setups, and assists with inventory, merchandise, and key control. They also perform basic administrative and customer service functions, including processing payments, managing waivers, and responding to guest inquiries. The Facility Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring the facility remains safe, well-maintained, and welcoming, while promptly reporting issues and contributing to continuous operational improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Health, Safety & Emergency Response
- Maintain all first aid and fire safety equipment, monitor dome pressure, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Respond to medical, fire, or facility emergencies following established procedures and immediately report incidents or hazards to management.
- Facility Maintenance, Cleanliness & Security
- Keep all facility areas clean, organized, and safe, including restrooms, courts, and common spaces.
- Restock supplies, manage waste, and secure all areas at the end of each shift.
- Court, Event & Equipment Operations
- Set up, maintain, and restore courts, seating, and event spaces to facility standards.
- Operate scoreboards and manage the safe storage and organization of all equipment and materials.
- Customer Service & Administration
- Greet and assist guests, process payments and registrations, and ensure waiver compliance.
- Communicate effectively with staff and management and complete assigned shift tasks promptly.
- Inventory, Merchandise & Asset Control
- Manage inventory, vending, and merchandise — ensuring accurate records, restocking, and proper organization.
- Maintain control of facility keys, lost and found items, and report any maintenance or security issues.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational, time-management, and administrative abilities.
- Some high school and/or college education.
- Proficient in POS systems such as Square.
