Steam Truck Operator: Build Calgary with Kidco Construction
Kidco Construction is a leading earthworks and civil construction company, driving Calgary's expansion by specializing in large-scale excavation, deep utilities, and essential infrastructure for major residential and commercial projects. We lay the precise groundwork that the city builds upon.
We are actively seeking a hardworking, experienced, and career-minded Steam Truck Operator to join our Field Maintenance team. Your Role and Professional Requirements
As a crucial member of our field operations, your expertise will ensure our challenging projects run smoothly and efficiently. Our ideal candidate brings:
- 2+ years of professional experience operating a steam truck.
- Valid Class 5Q License with a clean driver's abstract.
- Strong attention to detail and a willingness to handle hands-on, physically demanding work.
- The necessary physical fitness for daily activities, including bending, crouching, kneeling, and lifting.
- Familiarity with the handling of off-road heavy equipment.
- A proven reputation for being reliable, punctual, and taking pride in quality work.
- The ability to work effectively independently with minimal supervision.
Work Schedule
- Monday to Friday: 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Saturdays: Off
- Sunday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly Wage: $25 – $30 based on experience
- Overtime Pay: Applicable after 8 hours daily and 44 hours weekly
- Vacation/Holiday Pay: 9.6% payout included on each cheque
