POSITION OVERVIEW:
Responsible for supporting the resolution of overage, shortage, and damaged freight within the Less Than Truckload (LTL) network. Ensures accurate documentation, timely communication with internal and external stakeholders, participate in the analysis of complex data and information and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Including claim intake, data entry, and assisting in root cause analysis to reduce recurring issues and implementation of innovative solutions to solve business problems and deliver operational and customer benefits under general supervision.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review and process OS&D reports to assess value, support high value issues for OS&D staff and assigned service centers.
- Ensure timeliness of OS&D investigations. Investigate OS&D related to shipments at service center locations for quality descriptions and possible placement prior to forwarding to claims.
- Serve as point of contact for multiple service centers and/or districts regarding OS&D matters. Conduct research to assist in identifying trends and recurring issues in freight handling and solutions.
- Manage and maintain progress on assigned project(s) to ensure deadlines and objectives are achieved. Educate business stakeholders on policies, processes, best practices for OS&D resolution.
- Report on OS&D health of the network, ensuring quality metrics are captured, analyzed and communicated.
- Comply with all applicable laws/regulations including DOT, as well as company policies/procedures.
- Perform other duties as required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Post-secondary Diploma, required
- Minimum three (3) years’ experience in transportation or related field, required
- Basic understanding of LTL freight operations and OS&D processes
- Strong time management and organizational skills, including strong attention to detail
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Sharepoint and Outlook)
- Strong verbal, reading and written communication skills
- Ability to manage competing and changing priorities
- Bilingual (English/French) preferred; required in Quebec
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Hours may vary due to operational need
- Office located in dock environment; exposure to varied weather conditions, exhaust, fumes, dust, noise
