Job Summary
Mountain Industrial Parts and Supplies - Fort McKay Industrial Park, Highway 63 North We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic team. This role involves supporting warehouse distribution operations, utilizing heavy equipment, and ensuring efficient order fulfillment. The ideal candidate will have warehouse experience, mechanical knowledge, and familiarity with warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders or invoices
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment or delivery
- Load and unload delivery trucks safely and efficiently
- Maintain an organized and clean warehouse environment, ensuring proper storage of materials
- Monitor inventory levels and report discrepancies or low-stock items
- Label and stock materials according to company procedures
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely (training provided if necessary)
- Follow all safety guidelines and company protocols, especially regarding handling of PPE and industrial materials
- Assist with periodic inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Collaborate with sales and delivery teams to ensure customer satisfaction
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned by the General Manager
- Manage shipping and receiving processes, ensuring proper documentation and inventory control
- Utilize warehouse management systems for inventory tracking and order processing
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks safely.
- Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing stock locations and maintaining a clean work environment
- Perform load & unload operations using appropriate heavy equipment in compliance with safety standards
- Assist in maintaining accurate records of inventory movements and stock levels
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior warehouse or material handling experience preferred. 1-2 years of experience is a requirement.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Intermediate computer skills and experience with inventory systems is an asset
- Forklift certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong work ethic and a team-player attitude
Willingness to learn about the company?s product lines including truck parts, PPE, and industrial supplies. This position provides an essential role within our logistics team by ensuring smooth warehouse operations through skilled equipment operation and efficient inventory management.
