Reporting to the Director, System Performance, the Change and Project Management Consultant will be assigned to organizational project in roles ranging from change management lead, project lead, project manager, and project support. The Change and Project Management Consultant will create a strong link between departments, promote project management and change management best practices throughout the organization.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and implement change initiatives related to business processes and technologies.
- Drive adoption and proficiency of changes within the organization in compliance approved Change Management methodologies.
- Develop project strategies and plans, including stakeholder assessment, communications, leadership alignment, change readiness, and end-user training.
- Oversee team execution in accordance with project plans, tools, and methods, and support resource planning and acquisition.
- Provide direct support and coaching to front-line managers and supervisors as they help their direct reports through transitions.
- Facilitate change management activities with cross-functional team members and system partners to understand and ensure adoption of the transformation.
- Liaise with all departmental managers to understand all necessary aspects and needs for project development and to ensure they are fully informed of operational objectives, purposes, and achievements.
- Liaise with applicable partners on relevant policies, processes, and projects.
- Ensure the quality of each project through continuous monitoring, evaluation and recommendations for improvement in keeping with accreditation standards.
- Assists in the development and implementation of programs to ensure corporate contract compliance for new projects and activities and provide subject matter expertise in applicable areas.
- Provide leadership and guidance within designated committees and workgroups.
- Write proposals and concept documents relating to projects and processes.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education/Experience
-
Post-Secondary education is required, preferably in the Health Sciences field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Change Management Professional and/or Project Manager certification.
-
Experience or education in emergency communications, specifically Emergency Medical Dispatch, Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) and applicable communication applications related to managing a medical communications centre.

Minimum three years of experience, preferably in a provincial/regional EMS system and/or other health care sector.

Evidence of above-average written and verbal communications skills.

Experience in research capabilities and the ability to research, navigate and monitor applicable legislation and other governing documents.
-
Familiarity with adult education would be considered an asset.

Accreditation process experience would be an asset.
Knowledge/Skills
- Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational abilities.
- Sound business judgment and be able to think strategically.
- Excellent Leadership skills.
- Strong knowledge and skill in policy development.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Aptitude for negotiation and dispute resolution skills.
- Knowledge of statistics, data collection and analysis.
- Demonstrates proficient computer literacy.
- Ability to create and edit various reports, presentations and databases.
