Assignment:

• Part-time 0.60 FTE probationary teaching position

• Instructing in a Division 2 classroom

• Duties to commence on August 26, 2026 and will continue for the remainder of the 2026/2027 school year

Qualifications:

• Experience teaching in Grades 4-6 would be considered an asset
• Deep commitment and skill in supporting students with complex and diverse needs through flexible, student-centered practices, design implements and individualized programming based on ongoing assessment of students strengths needs, and progress
• Ability to build strong trusting relationships with students, while creating a safe, inclusive environment that fosters engagement and a sense of belonging
• Collaborates effectively with classroom teachers, specialists, and families to ensure a cohesive and responsive support for students
• Strong foundation in literacy and numeracy
• Evidence based strategies to support a wide range of learners from intervention to enrichment
• Demonstrates the ability to lead and coordinate a team of Educational Assistants, foster collaboration, clarity of roles, and a shared focus on student success
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Willingness to work in a team-oriented learning environment
• Assessment literate
• Ability to use varied instructional strategies to meet a wide range of individual needs
• Strong planning and organizational skills
• Effective classroom management skills
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, while demonstrating flexibility, reflective practice, and a commitment to continuous learning
