About the role

The Opportunity JOB DESCRIPTION The Field Data Reporting Analyst will utilize their strong analytical, communication, and problem solving skills to provide high levels of technical and process support to the Field Operations team and the Energy Components Field Data Capture system. You will have the opportunity to interact with and support various business units within Canadian Natural and develop strong working relationships within these areas.

  • Job location: Calgary, Alberta
  • Shift schedule: 5 x 2, 8-hour shifts
  • Safety sensitive position: No

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage the configuration and support of Energy Components to meet the business objectives of Field Operations
  • Provide practicable solutions or guidance for usage of Energy Components based on business workflow and needs
  • Implement effective solutions by evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements and identify areas for improvement
  • Develop operational processes and identify process improvements in a team environment, including utilizing existing Energy Components functions, and/or customizing new functions using Energy Components extension framework
  • Support field operations, production accounting and marketing business areas
  • Create and maintain implementation and monitoring plans, operational support models, process documentation, and system/application diagrams
  • Special Projects as assigned by the Supervisor, including adhoc data requests for end users
  • May require field travel and assist in after-hours support

What You Bring To The Role

  • 5+ years of industry experience in software configuration and event monitoring systems
  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent preferred
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and analytical skills with good attention to detail
  • The following would be considered an asset:
  • Experience with Energy Components
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases
  • Oil and gas industry knowledge
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • Familiarity with various platforms including Windows, UNIX, & Linux
