Options Community Services is a non-profit organization dedicated to delivering social services across the Southern Fraser region (Surrey, Delta, White Rock and Langley) from early childhood to seniors. Our comprehensive range of programs and services relies on collaborative relationships with individuals, businesses, community groups and government bodies to create focused, effective and responsive resources for the community.

Position Overview

Be the connection that helps people move forward. We’re looking for a compassionate and driven Employment Navigator to support participants in the FutureForward program—a community-based initiative serving individuals facing barriers such as homelessness, addictions, and mental health challenges. In this role, you’ll provide personalized, hands-on support to help individuals build confidence, develop job readiness skills, and take meaningful steps toward employment and greater independence.

Reporting to the Project Manager, the successful candidate will provides individualized, participant-centered case management to individuals facing complex barriers, supporting their progress toward stability and employment readiness. This role conducts assessments, develops and adjusts service plans, and delivers both one-on-one and group-based supports, including workshops focused on skill development and workplace preparation. The Employment Navigator also connects participants to community resources, fosters engagement and trust, and collaborates closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure coordinated service delivery, accurate documentation, and meaningful outcomes.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and brings at least three years of experience providing employment or social service support to individuals facing multiple barriers, including homelessness, addictions, and mental health challenges.

They have experience in case management and workshop facilitation, with a strong ability to build trusting relationships and motivate individuals toward personal and employment goals. The successful candidate demonstrates a compassionate, strengths-based approach, solid knowledge of employment readiness and community resources, and excellent communication, facilitation, and organizational skills, along with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

This role requires the incumbent to undergo a Police Information Check (PIC), and a Vulnerable Sector Check by the Ministry of Justice.
