Why this role is important? Why is this Position Important? The Registered Dietitian will interact virtually with patients to both promote and provide nutrition & health education. The Registered Dietitian must be passionate about patient care; delivering high quality one-on-one support in assisting Canadians to reach their nutrition goals.
What You Will Do:
- Interact virtually with a diverse patient population to provide education and one on one nutritional support
- Daily work to grow and maintain services to align with program goals, leveraging your skills and expertise to influence program design and educational content.
- Respond to patient inquiries.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive expert nutritional and dietary support.
- Strong understanding of Canada’s food guide and nutrition care processes.
What You Will Need:
- Registered Dietitian designation and membership with provincial college (in good standing)
- Ability to obtain additional provincial licenses, as required.
- Ability to travel, ad-hoc
- Professional liability insurance.
- Business acumen.
- Social media experience and knowledge.
- Experience in giving presentations and speaking to the public about health though various mediums.
- Able to work with a multi-dimensional health team, including traditional and non-traditional medical practitioners.
- Exceptional collaboration and team building skills to build relationships with store colleagues and community partners to drive programs and services.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Experience documenting assessments, care plans, and progress notes in EMR systems.
- Experience working with Microsoft Suite of programs an asset.
- Knowledge of health food products and supplements an asset.
- Being curious, solution oriented and creative.
