Reporting to the Director of Technology, the Technology Project Manager is responsible for and will oversee multiple projects across multiple areas, in particular, with respect to (i) standing the companies various systems separately instances from the existing Brookfield IT ecosystem, (ii) integrating the company’s software and infrastructure with a new owner, (iii) integrating smaller businesses into the company’s systems, and (iv) various IT/OT projects related to the company’s existing renewable energy projects and new projects to be built in the future in a systematic and organized manner. These projects will be a combination of business and technical initiatives from different areas of the business, including senior management and operations. Specific duties include new project assessment and evaluation, creating priorities and timelines for project completion based upon corporate goals and strategic plans, determining and procuring appropriate resources for project success, monitoring project completion reporting and adherence to the project management framework.

The Project Manager must be an excellent problem solver and have the talents to manage all aspects of project leadership, resource supervision, staffing, quality control, forecasting and budgetary control, as well as all aspects of project monitoring, reporting and conflict management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the full lifecycle of IT projects: planning, execution, budgeting, and delivery.
  • Manage timelines, scope, risks, resources, and quality assurance across concurrent projects.
  • Prepare and deliver project updates and presentations to executive stakeholders and sponsors.
  • Oversee integration of acquired entities and transition of systems during ownership changes.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and third-party partners.
  • Apply structured methodologies (PMBOK, Agile, etc.) to manage and monitor project progress.
  • Ensure projects follow company frameworks, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Support staffing and recruitment activities to build high-performing project teams.
  • Contribute to building and shaping the internal IT function as business needs evolve.
  • Promote a collaborative team culture with clear direction and effective delegation.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of professional experience, including 5+ years managing IT projects.
  • Proven experience delivering enterprise-level system integrations (ERP, CRM, workflow tools).
  • Demonstrated success in system transitions during M&A, carve-outs, or organizational restructuring.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Project Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • PMP certification (or equivalent) strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing vendors, contracts, SLAs, and external service providers.
  • Budget planning, forecasting, and financial project oversight experience.
  • Strong understanding of project governance and change management.
  • Familiarity with operational technology (OT) systems like SCADA, Bazefield, Aveva PI.
  • Awareness of cybersecurity practices in IT/OT environments (e.g., NERC CIP).
  • Experience with financial/commercial/trading platforms strongly preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% to support project sites and stakeholder engagements.

Qualifications

  • Advanced Microsoft 365 proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI); experience with MS Project or Smartsheet is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with experience presenting to senior leadership.
  • Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
