Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented AP, Payroll & HR Assistant to support our operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This hybrid role is responsible for processing payroll, administering benefits, and maintaining employee records, while also handling accounts payable tasks such as invoice processing, vendor management, and reconciliations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities while delivering accurate and timely work across AP, payroll, HR functions.
What You'll Do:
Accounts Payable (50%)
- Assist in A/P in multiple currencies in manufacturing environment
- Vendor setup and maintenance including resolving issues with vendors or supplies in a timely manner
- Perform vendor accounts reconciliation
- Perform three-way matching, batching and accurate coding in invoices for multiple departments
- Perform other accounting duties as required
Payroll (20-40%)
- Prepare payroll for hourly and salaried employees in Canada (BC, ON, QC) and the US and related remittances on timely and accurate basis using ADP Workforce Now
- Act as time and attendance administrator and prepare month-end vacation accruals
- Investigate and resolve ad-hoc payroll issues
HR (10-30%)
- Support the full employee life cycle ranging from recruitment process for all position, including job posting, sourcing, interview coordinating, reference checking, offer preparing, onboarding, employee record maintaining, developing and training to onboarding
- Organize and coordinate office administration and procedures
- Work on ad-hoc projects, reporting and other related duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring:
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, PCP certification, or an interest in pursuing it
- Strong computer skills particularly in the use of Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- 1+ years of experience in similar role
- Experience with ERP system required, HRIS (ADP Workforce Now preferably) is an asset.
- Detailed-oriented and work well independently
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, able to prioritize and meet deadlines
