Job description:
A day in the life of a Senior Consultant at Esri Canada:
- Lead and deliver Transportation GIS solutions (e.g., routing, logistics, asset management) from concept through implementation.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to analyze business needs and develop effective, scalable Enterprise GIS solutions.
- Provide expert leadership across requirements analysis, solution design, estimation, development, and deployment.
- Document, assess, and improve business processes, developing models, procedures, and optimized workflows.
- Prototype and validate new processes and solutions to enhance operational efficiency and information flow.
- Prepare and present reports, recommendations, and alternatives to support informed decision-making.
- Scope projects and support project planning, including SOW development, delivery coordination, and testing activities.
- Contribute to business development through proposals, demonstrations, and participation in RFP, RFI, and RFQ processes.
Minimum Education Requirement:
- University degree in Geography, Geographic Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or another related field.
- Postgraduate diploma or certificate is an asset.
- An Esri Technical Certification is considered an asset.
Minimum Experience and Training Requirement:
- 7+ years of consultative engagement experience with focus on business analysis and requirements gathering.
- 5+ years applying GIS concepts using Esri technology across diverse environments.
- Strong knowledge of Esri Enterprise solutions across desktop, databases, server, and web.
- Working knowledge of relational databases (SQL and/or Oracle Server), data and modelling.
- Transportation domain knowledge and experience with Linear Referencing, ArcGIS Roads and Highway, Network Analyst.

Demonstrated ability to work with multidisciplinary teams with a proactive, collaborative approach and strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.

Proven experience facilitating discussions, leading workshops, and negotiating to build consensus across diverse stakeholder groups.

Demonstrated business acumen, including the ability to establish effective consulting relationships and communicate clearly with senior and executive audiences.

Proven expertise in analysis and design techniques, system implementation methodologies, technical requirements analysis, business process modeling, and data modeling.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities under pressure, delivering high‑quality technical studies, recommendations, and presentations within tight deadlines.

Ability to travel as needed, including to customer locations or attend industry conferences.

Bilingual (English / French) is considered an asset.
