CAPEX Project Co-Ordinator – Maintenance & Engineering Department
AV Group NB Inc. is an exciting and innovative company operating two pulp mills in NB. Both mills produce dissolving grade pulp for the unique global market of viscos fibre.

We are currently recruiting for the following: CAPEX Project Coordinator to join the Maintenance & Engineering Department. Maternity Leave Replacement - Duration of 18-24 months.
Role Overview
Reporting to the Maintenance & Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible to provide Project coordination and engineering support services to the entire facility to increase reliability and minimize cost in compliance with corporate principles and guidelines and applicable legislation. These projects are primarily major maintenance and/or capital in nature.
Responsibilities
- Estimate, scope and execute major projects within all areas of the facility;
- Creation of CPA and RPA estimates for budget approval;
- Manage multiple projects at any one time;
- Develop detailed schedules and perform construction management role during project execution;
- Support maintenance & operations problem solving by providing advice or guidance when requested. Liaise with consultants and vendors on technical aspects of issues;
- Participate in route cause problem elimination analysis and resolution;
- Participate in shutdown coordination in support of Maintenance Planners and Mechanical Supervisors.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred;
- Certification in Mechanical Technology or equivalent;
- 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role;
- Strong organizational, decision making and problem-solving abilities;
- Orientation towards maintenance planning and mechanical maintenance systems;
- Demonstrate flexibility, adaptability while working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite including Microsoft Project, Maximo, SAP, PI, and Auto CAD;
- Experience working in a unionized environment considered an asset.
