About Beeye Beeye is a SaaS platform that helps professional services firms (accounting, consulting, etc.) plan resources and manage workload at scale. We are a Montreal based team of 27, serving clients in 20 countries, building on a modern Blazor / .NET / Azure stack. AI is core to our product and to how we work: our scheduling and optimization engine is built with Polytechnique Montreal and IVADO and every engineer builds with AI.
The Role We are hiring our first Engineering Team Lead to own the delivery of our engineering team (nine engineers) and make it both a great place to work and a predictable, fast delivery machine. You report to the CTO and own how the team plans, commits and ships: you set the cadence, the commitments and the standards, and you are accountable for the team's delivery and growth. This is a people and delivery leadership role, not a senior coder who also coordinates. You stay close to the technology to stay credible, but your job is leading delivery and people, not being the team's top individual contributor.
Key Responsibilities
- Own delivery and cadence: capacity planning, consistent estimates, sprint planning and reliable dates. Close the gap between product specs and shipped software so nothing falls between the cracks.
- Lead people: coach and grow a fully senior team, run real 1:1s, and set high standards with high support, so the team is happy because it is winning, productive, efficient and effective.
- Raise the bar: challenge assignments, estimates and technical choices, and hold engineers accountable to their commitments without micromanaging.
- Bring prototypes to production: turn working demos, including AI features, into production grade, shippable software on a reliable timeline.
- Install AI assisted engineering: coding agents, LLM in the loop, and internal tooling, so our throughput and quality reflect an AI first company.
- Run modern B2B SaaS delivery: CI/CD, quality gates, observability, incident discipline, and security by design alongside our SOC 2 effort.
- Partner with product, QA and the founders to sequence what ships and why.
Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years building software, including real experience leading or managing engineers.
- Strong hands on background in C# / .NET, or a close equivalent, with the depth to earn the trust of senior engineers.
- A track record of making a team predictable and fast, with reliable estimates and dates.
- Solid grasp of API design, SQL and data modeling, asynchronous patterns and distributed systems, enough to challenge technical decisions.
- Pragmatic and delivery first. You ship, and you are not a perfectionist who over engineers a small task into a large one.
- Strong written and spoken English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with .NET, Entity Framework Core and Azure.
- Hands on with AI assisted development: LLMs, coding agents, MCP, or agentic tooling.
- Experience taking AI or data features from prototype to production.
- Working knowledge of CI/CD, observability and DevOps practices.
- Experience in a B2B SaaS or enterprise software environment.
- French is an asset.
Location Remote within Canada. Montreal a plus.
