Large capital programs in Ontario's nuclear and energy sector are in planning or early execution right now, and the need for project controls professionals — schedulers, cost analysts, controls officers — is growing steadily.
Raise is building an active pipeline of Project Controls professionals for contract opportunities with a leading enterprise organization managing some of the largest capital programs in Ontario's history. About The Opportunity
A major nuclear refurbishment program is in its definition phase right now — that means the people doing the planning, building the baselines, and setting up the controls frameworks are being hired today. Execution starts in 2027, but the project controls infrastructure being built now will determine whether that execution succeeds. At the same time, an active SMR construction program and ongoing hydroelectric upgrades mean demand for controls professionals is not tied to a single project — it is sustained across multiple programs for the next decade.
What You Could Be Working On
Building and maintaining integrated project schedules in Primavera P6
Tracking costs, budgets, and forecasts across the full project lifecycle Performing earned value analysis and reporting SPI/CPI to project leadership Supporting front-end planning, risk workshops, and basis of estimate development Maintaining baselines and managing the change control process Integrating data across EcoSys, SAP, and project controls platforms Preparing performance dashboards and variance narratives for stakeholders
What We're Looking For
3 to 10+ years in project controls, scheduling, or cost management on capital projects Primavera P6 proficiency — required for most roles EcoSys or SAP experience is a strong asset Solid understanding of EVM, forecasting, and performance reporting PMP, PMI-SP, or AACE certifications are assets
