The primary goal of a Senior Credit Analyst is to support the Syndications team functions by performing a variety of administrative and analytical procedures. The incumbent will prepare commercial loan renewals, review financial statements, and provide credit support to Portfolio Managers/and Team Leads. Accountable for non-relationship credit and risk management functions.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Prepare administrative support to the Portfolio Managers & Team Leads
- Work with Business Lending Support/Operational Support Services to oversee procession of credit progress advances and all other duties their department performs for the Syndications area.
- Understand and interpret complex statements, able to consolidate statements.
- Calculate and understand more complex ratios, understands what they mean in relation to the credit.
- Proficient in understanding of required security documentation.
- Ensure a high level of satisfaction by assisting our partners with loan and deposit inquiries; follow up on requests for information on interest paid, principal totals, loan payouts, posting errors and pertinent details of loan and/or deposit particulars.
- Participate in the development and support achievement of sales targets and marketing plans.
- Liaison between Syndications area and other functional areas as required
Experience What you bring:
- 1-2 years of banking experience as a Financial Advisor or Credit Analyst
- Knowledge of reading financial statements
- Experience working with Syndications would be considered an asset
Education
- Minimum Grade 12 with combination of education and practical experience
- Diploma in Business Administration or Management
