As the Director of Digital Platforms - Delivery, you will lead a cross-functional team of developers, Business Systems Analysts (BSAs), and Quality Assurance (QA) analysts delivering digital solutions across our client-facing channel, including cooperators.ca, Online Services (OLS), Mobile App, and National Quote & Buy (NQB).
You will combine strong technical leadership, delivery excellence, and forward-thinking innovation to drive end-to-end delivery of digital initiatives that enhance client experience and create business value.
This role plays a pivotal leadership function in shaping the future of software delivery in Digital Platforms Technology, including introducing agentic AI-enabled development practices across the SDLC. You will foster a culture of agile delivery, engineering excellence, and continuous improvement that will enable teams to execute complex initiatives at scale with speed and quality.
How you will create impact:

Own and drive the delivery of medium to large-scale digital initiatives across web, OLS, NQB, mobile platforms, ensuring alignment to business priorities and strategic objectives.

Partner closely with business and technology leaders to define and evolve strategic product and platform roadmaps, translating vision into actionable delivery plans.

Champion modern engineering practices, including CI/CD, DevSecOps, automation, and quality engineering, to improve velocity, reduce delivery friction, and ensure high-quality, resilient solutions.

Lead a high-performing, cross-functional team of developers, Business Systems Analysts (BSAs), and Quality Assurance (QA) professionals, fostering an inclusive, accountable, and growth-oriented culture.

Drive the adoption of Agile and AI enabled delivery models, strengthening team capabilities in iterative development, product-oriented delivery and value-based prioritization.

Ensure strong governance and delivery oversight, including risk management, financial accountability, vendor coordination, and performance tracking across the portfolio.

Coach and develop your team by recruiting and selecting talent, managing and rewarding performance, and fostering an agile culture to deliver on strategic objectives.
To join our team:

You have 7-10 years of leadership experience and a strong understanding of modern software development practices and cloud-native architectures in Information Technology and Digital.

You have a post-secondary diploma in Information Technology or Computer Science.

You have expert knowledge of project and program delivery, including the ability to achieve high levels of employee engagement.

Strong understanding of modern software engineering practices and cloud-native architectures.
-
Exposure to or hands-on experience with AI-assisted or agentic development models, spec driven development is considered a strong asset.

Experience leading digital platform delivery team across web, mobile, and transactional systems is considered a strong asset

Expected salary/hourly range $114,021 - $164,000+
The salary amount for the successful candidate is determined by Co-operators in its discretion and will vary depending on several criteria including but not limited to: local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualification, experience and education.
Employees may also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn additional compensation tied to individual and/or business performance, or other business metrics.
