As part of the ONxpress consortium, Alstom is proudly working to transform the collective mobility of the Greater Toronto and Hamilton areas (GTHA) through the On-Corridor Works project, and we are hiring for hundreds of roles. The GO Expansion scope : new electric locomotives, fleet upgrades, train control systems, network electrification, signalling, telecommunications and digital systems, maintenance, and much more.

Objective:

As a Project Configuration & Change Controller, you will keep the project configuration under control during the whole life-cycle of the Project. In addition, you will manage the change process in the Project and ensure Configuration is formalized and adequate at any time to deliver the configuration and change documentation to the stakeholders. You will be a member of the System Assurance Team and report your activities to the Project Configuration Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure configuration and change management process, tools, policies, procedures and instructions throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Update and maintain the CM Plan and corresponding documents.

  • Plan and organize the CCB meetings (Configuration Control Board).

  • Provide Configuration and change management reporting and indicators.

  • Help to identify and define which components will be considered as configuration items.

  • Maintain accuracy and completeness of configuration items data all along project life cycle

  • Support team members to configuration and change management tools usage.

  • Manage and publish configuration baselines

  • Collect the Change Requests and verify the changes are well documented

  • Coordinate and federate all the relevant actors regarding configuration and changes.

  • Generate and maintain KPIs report and suggest improvement of the activity.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate Degree in any of Engineering/Project Management or equivalent

  • 3 or more years of similar experience

  • Knowledge of configuration and change management process

  • Familiar with requirements management principles

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and SharePoint
