QA/QC Technician

THE ROLE
We are currently seeking a mechanically minded and detail-oriented candidate to join our Montreal-based team as Technician, Quality Assurance and Control. Reporting to the Global Quality Director and working in close collaboration with the Operations and R&D teams, the Technician, QA/QC, is responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance. The incumbent will also conduct inspections at various stages of production, help identify and resolve quality issues, contribute to the creation of assembly requirement documents that guide our production teams, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform inspections on incoming materials, bicycle frames, and components to ensure compliance with technical drawings, specifications, and company quality standards.
- Carry out final inspections of assembled bikes before release to customers.
- Identify, document, and report non-conformities, and follow-up on corrective actions.
- Maintain and update inspection records, databases, and quality documentation.
- Perform validation and qualification tests on prototypes using various test benches.
- Support the development and upkeep of assembly requirement documents, quality manuals, inspection procedures, and checklists.
- Collaborate closely with Production, R&D, and Supply Chain teams to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in quality audits and support root cause analysis investigations.
- Provide feedback and recommendations to prevent recurring defects and improve manufacturing processes.
- Provide hands-on assembly support for special projects, such as prototypes or models as part of the development and industrialization of new products.
SKILLS REQUIRED
- DEC in mechanical engineering and a combination of relevant work experience as a bike mechanic, a quality control technician, or a quality inspector.
- Knowledge of quality control methods, inspection tools, and gauges.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Good knowledge of bicycle mechanics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
- Bilingualism: French and English required, both written and spoken, in order to communicate with American and Danish colleagues, partners and suppliers worldwide.
- Knowledge of conventional machining, an asset.
