Job Description Work Location: On site – Neepawa Health Centre (500 Hospital Street, Neepawa, MB R0J 1H0), Neepawa Health Unit Services (485 Hospital Street, Neepawa, MB R0J 1H0), Country Meadows Personal Care Home Services (500 Veterans Way, Neepawa, MB R0J 1H0). There is no option to work remotely.

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Anticipated Shift: Full Time, Days, Early Mornings, Mornings, Evenings, Nights, On Call, Weekends

Daily Hours Worked: Various hour shifts (30 to 40 hours per week)

Position Type: Fee for service

Wage Rate: Compensation is fee-for-service as per the Doctors Manitoba and Manitoba Health, Seniors and Active Living negotiated rates. Benefits are not provided, but may be purchased if the successful candidate so desired.

Position Summary Neepawa Health Centre is a 38 bed acute care and 100 bed long term care facility. Services offered include General Surgery, Diagnostic, Emergency, Public Health, Mental Health, Home Care, and Chemotherapy.

Prairie Mountain Health is seeking a Family Physician Anesthesiologist to join the Neepawa Health Centre. Duties to include: performing all duties associated with a family practice, including diagnosing and treating diseases, physiological disorders and injuries of patients, act as the primary care provider and provide continuous care toward the management of patients’ health. The successful applicant will provide anesthetic care through obstetrics, gynecology, and ENT. The physician will also share in the Emergency Department on call schedule and will cooperate and coordinate coverage with other physician colleagues.

Credentials

  • The successful candidate must hold a Doctor of Medicine degree, including a Certificate of Added Competency in Family Practice Anesthesia
  • Current licensure or eligible for full license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba
  • Must be a member of CMPA or provide proof of equivalent malpractice insurance
  • Given the cultural diversity of our region, the ability to respect and promote a culturally diverse population is required
  • Demonstrated ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the job
  • Demonstrated ability to respect confidentiality including paper, electronic formats and other mediums
  • Good work and attendance record

Experience And Specialization Specialization in: Family Practice Anesthesia

Additional Information Security and safety:

  • Complete and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Search, Adult Abuse Registry Check and Child Abuse Registry Check, as appropriate.
  • All Health Care workers are required to be immunized as a condition of employment in accordance with the Prairie Mountain Health policy.

The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment. Work Conditions And Physical Capabilities
