Fiberglass Door Manufacturing

We are looking for a detail-driven, artistic, and collaborative team member to join our Finishing Department as a Paint Stainer & Door Prep Technician.
The Fiberglass Door Stainer is a dynamic, all-rounder position where team members rotate between preparation and staining tasks, ensuring variety and continuous skill development. Team member is responsible for prep technician, applying stains, sealers, and finishes to fiberglass doors to ensure a high-quality, uniform appearance. This role requires strong attention to detail, teamwork, and consistent craftsmanship to meet production standards and customer specifications. Team members rotate between preparation and staining tasks, supporting workflow efficiency and skill development.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare fiberglass doors after CNC machining through cleaning, sanding, masking, and minor surface repairs.
  • Perform color matching and ensure consistency in final appearance.
  • Inspect doors for quality, defects, and finishing accuracy before moving to the next stage and operate hand and power tools such as sanders and drills safely.
  • Document production details such as stain types, batches, quality concerns and maintain a clean , organized work station.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and quality expectations.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and ventilation protocols.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience in staining or finishing wood or fiberglass products preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and color consistency.
  • Knowledge of staining techniques, sealers, and finishing products.
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools safely.
  • Physical ability to lift, carry, and maneuver doors (may weigh up to 100 lbs).
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in various environmental conditions.
  • Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.

Working Conditions:

  • Manufacturing/production environment with exposure to stains, chemicals, and dust.
  • Use of PPE required (gloves, masks, eye protection, etc.).
  • Full-time, may include overtime depending on production demands.
