Position: Lead Hand
Department: Pipeline Integrity
Classification: Construction
Work environment: Field Project-based, hours may vary based on the job and client's demands. This position requires you to be able to work in all weather conditions.
Work hours: Fluctuate on a daily or weekly basis as determined by client and/or project needs. This position requires you to be able to work shifts of varying length, both day and night.

Work Conditions:

The job requires the use of a tablet/laptop

Be able to work in various locations across Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and BC.

Be flexible to work rotating shifts.

Be able to work out of town.

Have reliable transportation to get to the worksite.

Flexibility to work overtime on weekends as required to meet client requirements.

Be able to work outside in various climate conditions.

Living Out Allowance is provided.

Physically demanding role including bending and heavy lifting.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist the foreman by following direction and contributing to efficient site operations
- Complete pre-job safety documentation including FLHA's, in accordance with safety standards
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials to designated work areas
- Support heavy equipment operators by securing attachments, signaling movements, and assisting with general tasks
- Assist with pipe alignment and related duties
- Perform grading and leveling using hand tools such as rakes and shovels
- Participate in demolition activities and handle salvaged materials appropriately
- Remove debris and maintain clean, safe work areas
- Operate pneumatic tools and tend to equipment such as mixes, compressors and pumps
- Handle hazardous materials safely, including spill cleanup and site contamination control
- Perform routine equipment maintenance, including oiling and greasing
- Direct traffic in and around construction sites as required
- Carry out additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Deep knowledge/experience with pipeline operations + oil and gas industry
- Required Safety Tickets: CSTS 20, H2S Alive, Standard First Aid – Level C CPR/AED, Ground Disturbance – Level II, Confined Space (Job Dependent)
- Required pre-employment Occupational Testing: Drug and Alcohol, Audiometric, Hearing Protection Fit, Respiratory Mask Fit
- A valid driver’s license and safe driving record may be required.
