Job purpose
Ensure accurate and high-quality clinical data for International Registry submissions.
Duties and responsibilities
Responsibility #1: Data collection for INTERNATIONAL REGISTRY
- Daily extensive clinical review of each surgical patient chart for accurate data entry into INTERNATIONAL REGISTRY.
- Weekly quality assurance check to ensure accurate and high-quality clinical data from Patient’s chart/EPIC INTERNATIONAL REGISTRY/CardioCore Databases.
- Regularly interpret medical information and definitions from the INTERNATIONAL REGISTRY manual book.
- Daily extensive clinical review of each surgical patient chart for accurate data entry into Cardiocore.
- Weekly quality assurance check to ensure accurate and high-quality clinical data from Patient’s chart/EPIC INTERNATIONAL REGISTRY/CardioCore Databases.
- Supports Cardiocore colleagues for medical interpretation and clinical data entry as required.
- Quarterly review of all data for quality assurance, accuracy.
- As required submits error log for duplication of MRN.
- Connects with Quality Analyst and IT Support for testing or technical issues for CardioCore and PATS as required.
Responsibility #2: Data collection for Cardiocore Modules
- Daily extensive clinical review of each surgical patient chart for accurate data entry into Cardiocore.
- Weekly quality assurance check to ensure accurate and high-quality clinical data from Patient’s chart/EPIC INTERNATIONAL REGISTRY/CardioCore Databases.
Responsibility #3: Clinical Support
- Supports Cardiocore colleagues for medical interpretation and clinical data entry as required.
Responsibility #4: Harvest Preparation
- Quarterly review of all data for quality assurance, accuracy.
Responsibility #5: Monitors Technical Issues for CardioCore and PATS
- As required submits error log for duplication of MRN.
- Connects with Quality Analyst and IT Support for testing or technical issues for CardioCore and PATS as required.
Required qualifications
Education
- Nurse or Physician designation or equivalent experience.
Experience
- Strong cardiac surgery knowledge and experience.
Knowledge, skills and abilities
- Efficient at reviewing clinical charts and medical records.
- Strong medical interpretation skills.
- Expert in data query and analysis.
- Experience working with Epic.
Preferred qualifications
Experience
- Proficiency in using INTERNATIONAL REGISTRY and PATS.
- Previous UOHI experience.
Knowledge, skills and abilities
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work demands.
Working environment
- Sedentary.
- Independent worker.
