Summary The Corporate Strategy and M&A team provides high quality financial and strategic advice to BCE’s senior management and is responsible for end-to-end transaction execution, including deal sourcing, strategic rationale development, due diligence, financial analysis, valuation, negotiations, executive approvals and closing.
The team works closely with all Bell business units to evaluate and execute high-impact strategic initiatives and transactions aimed at enhancing long-term shareholder value.
Key Responsibilities As a Senior Manager, you will play a key role in supporting and executing strategic and M&A initiatives across BCE, including:
- Support the evaluation and execution of acquisitions, divestitures, and other strategic initiatives, from early-stage strategic assessment through transaction execution and post‑closing support
- Plan, structure, and manage M&A workstreams, defining project scope, timelines, and key deliverables in partnership with Corporate Strategy and M&A leadership
- Own and oversee complex financial analyses and valuation work, including operating models, DCFs, merger models, LBOs, financing analyses, trading comparables, precedent transactions, and sum‑of‑the‑parts analyses
- Develop and articulate valuation benchmarks supported by rigorous analysis and sound judgment, and effectively communicate recommendations to senior leadership
- Prepare high‑quality presentations for Corporate Strategy and M&A leadership, BCE senior management, and the Board of Directors
- Lead due diligence processes for acquisitions and divestitures, coordinating stakeholders across all internal functions and external advisors
- Review commercial and legal agreements to identify key risks and ensure business terms and diligence findings are properly reflected
- Coach and develop Managers, providing guidance on modeling, valuation, and strategic thinking while maintaining high analytical standards
- Build strong relationships across BCE to understand business drivers, challenge assumptions, and incorporate operational insights into strategic and financial analyses, with the objective to align stakeholders around strategic priorities and transaction outcomes
Critical Qualifications The successful candidate will have the following critical skills and competencies:
- 3-7 years of experience in investment banking, transaction advisory, transaction services, corporate development, or equivalent experience in a highly analytical finance role
- University degree with a concentration in finance or accounting
- Solid understanding of financial modeling, valuation and corporate finance concepts
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to develop well-reasoned, data-driven conclusions
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- High level of initiative, professionalism, and ability to work independently
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Flexibility to work additional hours when the need arises
- CPA, CBV, or CFA designation is an asset (completed or in process)
- Knowledge of and interest in the telecommunications and media industry is an asset
Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
