Position Summary:
As the Freelance Colour Correction Specialist you will be responsible for Photoshop colour correction and colour quality assurance (QA) across our workflow, ensuring all imagery meets brand colour standards and specifications before digital publication. This contract role requires strict punctuality, rigorous adherence to production process, and a proven, experienced eye for colour. Individuals must demonstrate discipline, a team mentality, and the ability to work independently with minimal direction.
The successful candidate will be a dependable self-starter with a demonstrated track record in retouching within a professional e-commerce setting. They will maintain clear communication with the production team and adapt fluidly within a fast-paced, process-driven workflow. This role requires close collaboration with Production Managers to ensure colour consistency across all deliverables.
This is a contract (freelance) engagement requiring strong organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to maintain high output quality in a fast-paced, high-volume studio environment.
This role requires in-studio availability of 1–2 days per week, with the potential for increased days based on production volume and workflow demand. Punctuality and consistent on-site attendance are mandatory requirements for this engagement.
Responsibilities:

Perform colour correction and colour QA checks on product images daily, with accuracy, speed, and expert judgement

Evaluate and flag colour inconsistencies across product image sets, referencing approved colour standards and brand guidelines

Process high volumes of imagery under tight production schedules while maintaining consistent colour accuracy

Follow established production workflows and studio processes without deviation; communicate proactively with management on status, flagged items, and any blockers
Requirements and Skills:

Minimum 3+ years of professional experience in a commercial production environment

Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop colour correction tools (curves, levels, hue/saturation, selective colour) within a Mac environment; Adobe Suite experience required.

Experience working with Capture One colour grading tools considered a strong asset

Prior experience with a focus on colour accuracy and digital shelf standards is strongly preferred

Exceptional ability to visually identify and correct subtle colour shifts, tone inconsistencies, and white balance issues across large image sets

Strong critical eye, meticulous attention to detail, and a process-oriented mindset when reviewing and approving colour output

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while remaining a reliable, cooperative member of the studio team

Proven ability to follow established colour standards and production processes precisely and consistently, with zero tolerance for deviation

Ability to manage multiple active image batches simultaneously, prioritizing effectively to meet production deadlines

Positive, professional attitude with a commitment to quality and a genuine respect for studio process and team workflow

Clear verbal and written communication skills; ability to flag issues, ask questions, and report progress accurately to production management
A portfolio with samples of work along with a professional resume is required in submission process.
