Position Overview
Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manage r, the Quality Assurance Technicia n plays a key role in ensuring that production operations comply with food safety regulations and meet our high standards for product and process quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct quality testing of food products.
- Sample finished goods as required and record sampling details.
- Communicate with third-party warehouses regarding product quality.
- Approve and allocate raw materials.
- Document and record results according to established procedures.
- Perform GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) inspections in the production area.
- Conduct weekly environmental swabbing.
- Manage finished product release procedures.
- Deliver training sessions for new hires.
- Support other operational needs as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 1–3 years in a Quality Control Technician role, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
- Education : Diploma of College Studies (D.E.C.) in Science or a related field is considered an asset.
- Languages: · Bilingual, English is required as we operate in a global environment; French is important as we are based in Quebec, and it is essential for effective internal communication and compliance with local requirements.
- Technical Skills : Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
Working Conditions
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and work in cold environments.
- Work Environment: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented, and deadline-driven setting.
- Work Model: This role is based on site at the plant (5 days per week).
