BIOVECTRA Inc. has an immediate opening for a Red Seal certified Electrical Maintenance Technician responsible for plant electrical support of maintenance repair and troubleshooting of our industrial lab and manufacturing equipment at our operations in Windsor, Nova Scotia. This role is critical in ensuring the optimal performance of research and production equipment by performing electrical installations, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance tasks.
Shift:
Monday to Thursday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm
Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot research and manufacturing process equipment, including electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and plumbing systems.
- Troubleshooting complex components and electrical issues.
- Experience with basic troubleshooting of Allen Bradley, Rockwell or Siemens PLC's.
- Relocate equipment as needed, including assembly and dismantling procedures.
- Perform diagnostics and repairs on various research and manufacturing equipment.
- Conduct analytical troubleshooting to identify and resolve equipment irregularities.
- Develop and implement innovative solutions for equipment and process malfunctions.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and cost savings through equipment optimization.
- Conduct corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance in laboratory and production environments.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and other facility information systems.
- Document repair histories and manage spare parts inventory.
Qualifications
Requirements:

Red Seal certification or Nova Scotia provincial electrical certification (Electrician codes: Red Seal: 442A / Federal NOC number for the Electrician is 72200 is required.

Post-secondary education in a mechanical trade program or an engineering technician program is required.

5+ years of maintenance experience in an industrial or commercial manufacturing facility.

Troubleshooting complex components and electrical issues.

2+ years of experience in a regulated environment; food, aerospace, biologics, or pharmaceuticals, with a knowledge of Standard Operating Work Procedures a plus.

Experience with computer-based maintenance software (BMRAM, Maximo, SAP, etc) is a plus.
Additional Details
This job has a full time weekly schedule.The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $29.73 - $52.03/hr CAD plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
