Coast Hotels is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Junior Graphic Designer & Social Media Coordinator to support the development of brand-consistent visual assets and social media content across our corporate marketing initiatives and hotel properties.
This role contributes to the overall success of Coast Hotels by producing a variety of marketing materials including promotional graphics, digital assets, food and beverage menus, and property collateral while assisting with the coordination and scheduling of social media content. Working closely with the Manager, Social Media & Online Reputation and the Brand & Communications Consultant, the successful candidate will help ensure that creative assets and social media content are delivered accurately, on time, and aligned with Coast Hotels’ brand standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for an emerging designer who enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced marketing environment and is interested in hospitality branding and digital storytelling.
Responsibilities:
- Creates and updates marketing and brand materials for corporate and property-level needs using approved templates and brand guidelines.
- Produces graphic assets for digital marketing campaigns, social media posts, and online promotions.
- Designs and updates food and beverage menus, signage, promotional materials, and other hotel collateral.
- Adapts brand templates and creative assets to support property marketing requests.
- Prepares production-ready files for both print and digital distribution.
- Ensures all design work aligns with established Coast Hotels brand standards.
- Designs graphics for social media channels to support marketing campaigns and brand storytelling.
- Assists with preparing and scheduling posts across social media platforms.
- Supports the management and coordination of the social media content calendar.
- Drafts captions, hashtags, and supporting creative assets for review and approval.
- Assists marketing initiatives with creative assets and campaign visuals.
- Responds to property marketing requests and helps hotels utilize approved brand templates and materials.
- Organizes and maintains digital design files, templates, and social media assets.
- Collaborates with internal teams and property contacts to fulfill design and marketing requests.
- Completes other duties as assigned.
Knowledge/Skills/Experience:
- Diploma or degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of graphic design experience, including internships or freelance work.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Experience designing for both print and digital formats.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and content scheduling tools.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Portfolio demonstrating design work across print and digital formats required.
- Experience working with brand guidelines and template-based design systems an asset.
- Basic video editing or motion graphics skills an asset.
- Experience designing menus, signage, or hospitality marketing materials an asset.
- Familiarity with Canva or social media design tools an asset.
- Basic understanding of social media trends and digital marketing content formats.
- Strong visual design skills and attention to detail.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Collaborative team player who is responsive to feedback.
- Interest in hospitality, brand storytelling, and digital marketing.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced marketing and communications environment.
