The Senior Analyst Revenue Assurance is a key member of the Order to Cash (OTC) group and is responsible for leveraging best practices to ensure that revenue is captured timely and accurately. The position will use their knowledge to manage and implement processes to identify and report on the status of revenue captured and potential leakage areas. This role will use reporting/data to proactively identify gaps and then take corrective action within OTC, Pricing, Sales, and Operations to provide customers with a high-quality invoice including back-up that maximizes collectability. This position will also be responsible to use current tools to increase automation in administration steps improving quality and speed of delivery while supporting the accounting group in the creation of month end accruals and cut-off activities.
How You'll Help
- Develop and support control reporting to proactively find gaps and mitigating risk in daily processes.
- Collaborate and conduct regular audits and resolving revenue-related issues with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in documenting processes and identifying key controls including reporting to ensure that controls are working effectively, and exceptions are corrected timely.
- Work with stakeholders to continuously improve processes.
- Support in month-end activities, such as Revenue accruals and cost center reviews.
- Manage initial escalations to Operations daily to ensure all required information is available to invoice timely, avoiding erosion of revenue
- Utilize professional skepticism in all processes; seek to understand the “why” behind the numbers
- Prepare for and facilitate meetings to support various revenue assurance and continuous improvement initiatives
- Provide additional support to the Senior Manager, Invoicing Quality and Control for ad hoc requests and reporting
Your Skills & Experience
- Degree in business administration or related field
- CPA designation an asset
- Experience documenting processes and identifying Key controls
- Lean Six Sigma Training an asset
- 5+ years of progressive business/finance experience, including invoicing, audit and control
- Experience in the transportation industry an asset
- A suitable combination of education and experience may be considered
- Experience using Bi and other database reporting tools
- Must be proficient in MS Outlook, Excel & Word; must have the aptitude for learning new programs
- Ability to work accurately with numbers and detailed reports.
- Strong communication skills including the ability to relay information (verbal and written) between several parties
- Strong customer service focus and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a deadline driven environment, proper sense of urgency
- Ability to work independently and to collaborate with others to meet customer expectations
