About the role
Overview:
At KPMG, you’ll join a team of diverse and dedicated problem solvers, connected by a common cause: turning insight into opportunity for clients and communities around the world.
We’re looking for a Senior UX designer with 5-7 years of experience who thrives at turning research insights into elegant, accessible interfaces, and coaching others to do the same. If you’re driven by curiosity, energized by complex challenges, and passionate about creating better user experiences, we’d love to have you on our team.
In this role, you’ll help shape design strategy, lead discovery efforts, and scale our design system. You’ll collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to define problems, deliver solutions, and ensure our tools are usable, inclusive, and impactful. You will also provide mentorship and strategic guidance to other members of the design team, fostering growth and driving overall design excellence across projects.
What you will do:
- Plan and run qualitative / quantitative studies and translate research insights into actionable design goals
- Facilitate workshops with Product and Engineering teams to align on problems, scope, and success metrics
- Produce high-fidelity mocks and interactive prototypes while elevating overall team design quality through constructive critique and collaborative support
- Balance usability, accessibility, and technical constraints through iterative design-dev reviews
- Apply UX metrics to steer, scale, pivot, or sunset calls on released features
- Drive the ongoing evolution of our design system, mentoring teams on component development, best practices, and documentation to maintain a cohesive, high-quality product experience
- Lead or co-lead design reviews, providing feedback across squads and functions
- Mentor junior designers and help foster a culture of critique, experimentation, and excellence
What you bring to this role:
- Bachelor’s degree in UX Design, HCI, or related field—or equivalent work/portfolio experience
- 5-7 years of UX/digital product design experience, with examples of shipped SaaS or B2B design work
- Portfolio showing strategic problem-solving skills and experience with the full human centered design process (including research and interaction design)
- Deep expertise in qualitative & quantitative research, information architecture, and usability best practices
- Proven experience mentoring designers and advancing a design practice by establishing and refining processes that drive consistency, quality, and impact
- Expert proficiency with Figma and common research & accessibility tools
- Strong storytelling, stakeholder-management, and cross-functional facilitation skills
- Strong understanding of product strategy with experience aligning design decisions with product goals, identifying user and business opportunities, and evaluating impact through relevant metrics and added business value.
- Ability to manage feedback loops, understand constraints and balance trade-offs in a complex product environment
- Strong interest in collaborating closely with other technical groups, coaching peers, and contributing to the overall design practice at KPMG
Providing you with the support you need to be at your best
